99 S70 GLT suddenly wont start need help
Okay so I have a 99 GLT 154K miles i went to the grocery store for like 10min and came out and it would start i could rev it for maybe 5 sec, then it just died, it didn't even attempt to idle the tach just fell to 0. Tried again, same thing I could rev it for a about 5 sec then it would die. I popped the hood and could here a distinct high pitched ringing noise coming from near the fan under the intanke manifold. I disconnected the battery and the sound went away. I reconnected the battery and heard the main relay "click" followed by a "click" near the fan and that high pitched noise again.
I know I have ETS but the light has never came on before. I dont know if its been replaced. In the past it has taken longer to start then others, it would just crank a little longer.
Now the engine just cranks and I know from experience that can be a million issues. Any ideas would help. Thanks

Difficult starting here....
Wow, I'm having the same exact issue on my C70 turbo, except my car is having difficulty starting. There is a high pitched whining noise coming from the front of the car near the radiator. The Temperature gauge is already at half when starting, this is after sitting all night. There are no check engine lights and no codes. I just replaced the heater core and it has been running fine. The maf sensor was replaced 6 months ago. I have the 2.4 LPT, any help is appreciated!!
