Default Advice Purchasing a S70

Hi,
I'mgoing to look at a fewS70Volvosthis weekend for my college age daughter. Is one year better then another? I'm looking at a 1998 and a 2000. What should I specifically look for when checking out the car? I'm very happy with the Volvo Icurrently own. It'san 1996 850 with 335,000 miles. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Get the 1998 to begin with. it doesn't have the problematic ETM issue that the 1999-2000 models do.

1. have it look over thoroughly, timing belt for sure all fluids, rotor, cap, wires. Normal maintainence things.
