Default A/C only out of defroster vents

Typical hot South Florida day, driving down the road enjoying cold a/c in my 2000 S70 GLT SE after being outside for awhile then a/c stops blowing out of vents and only blows out of windshield defroster vents. Turned vent selector dial, turned off a/c even turned car off but still only blows from defroster vents.

Any ideas on what the issue may be and how to fix it? Summertime is almost here and I need my a/c!

you need to do a vent door relearn first. Check for codes in the CEM. If there is a code in there it will stop the climate control.

OK, RSPI recommended looking for the broken linkage, i'll check that out tonight. I'll stop by Autozone, have them scan OBDII for codes. How do I do a vent door relearn?

Well I know for sure that its not the linkage arm. Yesterday I started the car and I heard the damper motor come on and the air started coming out of the vents like they're supposed to. For some reason the motor is not working properly.
