city mpg? please post yours
i own a 98 s70 T5 auto that gets me around 11.5 mpg city. no codes,i don't drive hard, and i keep my car up quite well. no codes.the trip computer says 10, but fill-up to fill-up calculations say its more like 11-12. These numbers seem quite low. is it just my car, or all T5's?
if you own a T5, please post your city mileage.....thanks

'99 V70 GLT, Automatic - getting mid-20's for combined city/highway.
In my '99 Eclipse RS (N/T) - I get about 28 city/highway and up to 35 on the highway only.
And I'm in the middle of an experiment to see how much better I can do by changing some driving habits, removing weight from the car, cleaning it (supposedly for better aerodynamics) and changing the oil. I would change the air filter too, but that's pretty fresh. I'm calling it my hypermiling (after the name given by some obsessed gas mileage guys) experiment/challenge (experiment for me, but also a challenge among some of my friends and coworkers). If you want to track the progress, go to my blog (http://diycarguy.blogspot.com).

I own a 98 s70 non-turbo. When I was battling a CE light, I was getting 11-12mpg with a code of p0172.It was the vac elbow near the power steering pump- search a bit and you'll find the how to fix it- or just go out to your car and look for the elbow by the power steering pump (not easy to find) and (I'm guessing) look at the hole in it. This causes the car to run rich and send too much fuel to the engine causing the mileage to drop significantly. I had an indy mechanic fix it (~$50, it's somewhat hard to get to) and the car is right back up to 19/20mpg in town and low 20's mpg if I'm on the highway that seems typical. Hope this helps.
