Codes P0103 and P0171

Codes P0103 and P0171
Hi guys,
this is my problem, i was driving home one day and the CEL came on. Got the codes scanned, P0103 MAF or VAF High circuit Input and P0171 System too Lean Bank 1. The car began to stall and surge at idle, however not while driving. The problem has been getting worse to the point the car will not start unless the pedal is mashed to the floor.
Did a little diagnostic test
Started the car, unplug maf, ran fine
started car with maf unpluged and it was fine.
it seems if the sensor is not connected everything goes away except i just dont have the same amount of power due to the unplug
I am thinking the MAF sensor is toast, can anyone shed some light on the subject.
