upon startup my dash lights, turn signals and head lights do not work. I smack the steering column lightly and then they come on. I have looked at all the conections/wires in the steering column and none of them seem loose etc. Ever seen this before????

 

Play with the key after starting the car and see if they come on.
The electrical part of the ignition switch is most likely going bad.
