Default Emision hose needs home

I was working on my 1998 s70 turbo with a P0440 error and replaced a vacuum line that was broken, upon reassembly I came across this line. I looked and looked but can't find where it goes, any ideas?

Thanks

Looking at the hose routing diagram, it connects to a pvc-T ?
its the item in the lower right corner I circled.
I looked again today and still cant find the connection.
thanks

I think it goes to the bottom of the Big plastic hose where it attaches to the turbo. There is a Valve with a plug and a bigger hose. The smaller hose should go on the Valve as well.

Thanks for the info,
i bought the car used two years ago and its been great.
It just started with a P0440 error so I was checking for leaks.
the hose in question is connected to the thin blue plastic line and it seems to have been an old fix (rubber hose).
It runs under the front maifold as the diagram states, but i am unsure of connection location.
the picture below is the hose that broke, its a thin black plastic line that goes to the front of the radiator support solenoid.
here is a picture of the break
basically i am looking for the connection of the blue plastic line.
if any one has any pictures...please post them of the connections.
thanks Tech .....for your help

That hose goes behind the intake to the side behind the power steering pump.

Either you can fix that hose or you can cap it off by the power steering pump and run a hose up to the Vaccum tree and bypass the blue hose.

It is one of the pcv or "breather system" hoses. The entire pcv system should be inspected at 60K miles at the dealer, but most times it is not. By 100K miles, if not maintained, it can begin to create high pressure in the engine and cause leaks out of the top of the engine and leaks at the rear main seal. One of the main comonents of this system is also the oil trap/separator which is located under the intake manifold. www.fcpgroton.com sells a kit for your car including all new hoses, clamps and oil separator. You will also need an intake manifold gasket ($5.00) as it has to come off to truly deal with the parts under the intake. Ask me how I know...I replaced the entire system over the christmas holidays last year. A good way to know if the pcv system is having issues to to pull your dipstick right after turning your engine off and see if smoke comes pouring out of it.
