Default Engine Swap

So I just got my hands on a 1998 S70 GLT with a dead engine. The people I bought it from told me their son took it for a drive without oil or water and the motor seezed up. I have two options, I can get an old motor (not sure of the cost yet) or I can take the engine apart and give it to a mechanic to bore new cylinders. What do you think it will cost to take to a mechanic? As well, if you've done an engine swap before with the S70, is their any difficulties that I might run into?

Thanks!

Default S70 Engine Swap

Personally I would prefer a used engine with at least some guarantee rather than rebuilding your current engine (Like from LKQ. Jasper does not carry Volvo and the dealership is rediculously expensive). Lots to consider with this job - change the radiator while you are at it? Are you replacing your water pump and timing belt (recommended interval for this engine is 70K miles). So whichever way you go, LOVE the car before tackling this since the cost will be about what you would pay for a used, and running, S70.
