More than likely if your FPR goes bad, the first thing usually is it takes longer for the car to crank up,your fuel pump has to pump gas through a vapor locked fuel rail. If you still think its bad you can take out one fuel injector and see if the engine starts. If it does more than likely it is bad. Thats the only way to check it, without a gauge that I know of. By the way I don't know the exact spec on the volvo fuel injection system. You might want to get Tech, or S70 driver for that, there pretty good.

Usually if it goes bad there is 3 signs
1.Fuel pressure to high
2.Fuel pressure to low
3.Fuel pressure bleeds off after car is sitting making it start hard.
