Question Fuel Pump Assembly or Insert - Which to Buy?

I found a fuel pump assembly and an insert on FCP. Big difference in price. Is the insert a low cost alternative to replacing the entire assembly? If so, has anybody used it?

Sorry to say but I would replace the entire assembly.

Reasons are:
1. The sealer around where the wires go through the unit falls apart and gas leaks out.
2. They crack by the square hole that is recessed and causes an evap small leak code.
3. Usually there is problems with any insert setup pump.
