Headlight wiper blades not functioning properly
My headlight wiper blades on my 2000 S70 are acting really weird. Most of the time they stay in the "off " position, but sometimes they go up when I have the wipers turned on but they dont move up and down they just stay in one spot. When I turn off the wipers they still stay. Over time they do come down randomly, but sometimes its one at a time. It looks really stupid driving down the road with one wiper up and one down. Since they do have the ability to move up and down, just not how they are suppose to, I would assume the motor works. Maybe its just the wiring or something else causing they to act in this way. Any suggestions on repairing this? Thanks in advance.

The headlight wipers are suppose to work with the windshield cleaner. They even have washer fluid sprayers on them. The best thing to do is test them to make sure the blades are installed in the proper possition. You can do that by parking in front of a picture window or having someone help you.
Usually the problem is that the wiper arms are not installed in the parked possition. The best thing to do is take the wiper arms off or loosen them. They have a nut under the arm end where they are mount to the step that comes out below the head light. Run the windshield wiper cleaner and let the process stop on it's own. Once it stops, install the wiper arms on so that they are parked in the proper possition, usually pointing out. Then run the washer again to test them.
