Help! Oil leak in my 99 S70
Hello Guys.
This morning when I moved my car out of my driveway my father noticed some oil on the driveway. Then I parked my car on the street and there was again oil on the street. So I definitely do have some kind of a oil leak. The car is a 1999 but only has 70K miles on it. I have heard that if the PCV system go's bad that it can cause oil leaks. But the car only has 70k miles on it but is also 15 years old. Can the PCV system go bad just because of the age?

First I would suggest finding out what region of the motor this is coming from. Oil lines, top of motor, turbo, etc. If theres smoke coming from the dipstick, its pcv. Or, get a rubber band and glove and put it on the oil cap. Run the car and if it inflates, its pcv.
Also, take a look at the power steering resevoir. if the fliud is low, you may find the oil is coming from the rack&pinion. To check it, turn the wheel fully counterclockwise and check the passenger side. Go the opposite way for hte driver side You can see the bellows and any wetness.
