Default HID conversion

I am looking into an HID conversion... I know they run a different voltage/current and i will need to mount the box, but I was just wondering if i get the right kit all i need to do is mount the box and connect the wires...? I've seen a couple videos and tutorials and that's all they seem to do.

Any suggestions on sights or the bulbs?

1. Purchase from SharpHID.com
John will take good care of you.

2. All you need a a 35w or 55w HID kit they sell on that site. Either one will work and run perfectly fine.

3. You don't want anything over 5000K or under 4500K in the HID bulb temp. Why? Anything over 5000K is actually putting out less light and the only thing you do get is a color change. Anything under 4500K and your just basically running a high end Halogen system. 3000K would be used for foglights, just an example here.

Alrighty, i'll have a look there.

Does the Wattage make a difference...? or one better then the other? I know the intensity is inversely proportion to the K value... I think i'll leave my fogs.... they're okay, don't use them much.

And i'm assuming I only want the single xenon light not the bi-xenon cuz I have separate bulbs correct for high and low beams... or what would happen if i did get the bi-xenon?

Well the 55w would be basically what your running right now but in HID form. The 55W are brighter because they are 55W. I am running a 35W system and it produces plenty of light and looks great.

Yes you want the single kit. I don't know what would happen if you got the Bi-Xenon kit. You do have separate bulbs for High and Low beams. You'll want to put your HID's in the Low beam position.

6000K = less light then a 5000K system. So if you just want a slight color change then ok, but if you want the most light output then...

Yes, I understand that.... but the 55w is brighter then the 35W (about 1600 lumens) So I figured that the loss of light would not matter at all nor would i notice the difference... But I also don't want to be the jerk w. ridiculously bright lights...
And yes i'd like a slight blue to the light, i've always liked that.
Just reading on the site and it says that they are not road legal...? where would I be able to find out if it is or not in FL...?
