How do I fix Code PO753 Shift Solenoid A?
Hi my 2000 volvo s70 non-turbo thumps really hard when shifting from Park to reverse. Its giving me the code PO753 "Shift Solenoid A electrical" so I assume I need to replace the shift solenoid. So my question is: Is Shift Solenoid A the same as Solenoid 1? and secondly should I replace the line solenoid as well ? And why is it when I put it into drive and accelerate its very sluggish and almost powerless especially going up the slightest incline but has all kinds of power in any other gear with the slightest pressure on the accelerator? Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thx for any help in advance.
IMO I would retire the car at this point. You're going to end up overhauling the trans and it likely has other expensive issues as well. And at best the car is worth $1500 tops. This is not a desirable MY or model (non-turbo).
Hey gdog, if you can't help, get off *******. I'm from Brasil, and I can find the solution. Richboy... Buy a Ferrari or a Chinese car.
