I need to replace the original headlights on my 1998 Volvo S70 and I want to get clear lenses. I have found a set of halogen/LED combo headlights, but they are for the 1998 Volvo S40. I was wondering if the two cars used the same size headlights? The frontends of the two cars look the exact same and I can't find a good pair of S70 lights with clear lenes. These lights look incredible but I want to make sure they are the right size before I order them online. Any help would be much appreciated.

 

No, I do not believe these lights are the same. You can go to a parts website or call the dealer, they will tell you for sure. Just get new lights.

 

I own both of these cars and though there are some parts that are interchangable the headlights are not one of them. Hmm 1998 S40 that could be different from the 2000-2003 S40. Maybe you could do something to the header board to mount the S40 headlights in the S70.

 

I have also heard of some people installing brighter bulbs.

 

IPD has a set of projector's that are very nice but somewhat expensive. If money is no object they are $400 for the pair.
