The lights come on when every door is opened except the driver's door. Any ideas?

 

If all the plugs are plugged in then the door latch assembly is bad.

 

Yeah, the door handle spring broke a while back, and I didn't want to pay to fix it since it still works. I can still turn on the lights with the remote. Thanks.

 

Is there a way to stop the door chime while the door is open? I like listening to a little music while tinkering and my other volvo's had a way to turn off the door switch that cut off the interior lights and shut off the door chime.

 

Take a screw driver and latch the catch where it would close on the body. But remember to release it before trying to close the door.
