Question Just bought first Volvo. Good deal ?

Hey guys,

Just bought my first Volvo, a 1999 s70. Its black, tan interior not the AWD or Turbo so guessing its just the Base. Its mechanically fine. Has only 125K and the timing belt was replaced at 100K. Engine runs strong , transmission is good etc....

It has few minor problems:
Power locks work sometimes
Back Power windows work sometimes
Some dash lights are out (can't see right side of RPM 5-8 at night or the bottom with the time and temp..)
Also the shift light is out can't see when dark
Headlights, dash light and Blinkers don't work sometimes when car is started all i need to do is move steering wheel down and then back up and they work( I'm assuming a wire or something is loose)

All issues are minor and it drives very well!!
Got the car for $2,300
Good deal or bad Deal?
And any opinions on that year and model?

Volvos bulbs constantly fail....I have a few bulbs out, after changing several times ive learned to live with it.
About the only gripe I have against Volvos.

Random electrical problems are usually caused by the worn ignition switch.

To replace the light bulbs in the cluster, you will need to remove the dash pad.

In the meantime, you can jiggle your key or turn it back a little to solve most of your issues.

Great videos. The key issue, shifter lock not resetting properly, and the shifter relaes issue are a pain in the backside with these cars.
