Default Just bought a Volvo s70 t5se I have some questions

Hi, I just bought a 1998 volvo s70 t5se with 202000km. It just passed a etest ang going for a saftey tomorrow. But my question is, I did an oil change today on the car not sure wich oil the guy used before me but I put in normal 10w30 castrol oil with a mobil 1 oil filter and put in 6.7 litres. The manual says to put in 5.8L or an extra 0.9 if you drain the "oil cooler" which I did not. Do I need to do this? I put in 6.7L without draining the oil cooler and it was almost full on the dipstick. And also another question is what gas to run in the car? I am using regular 87 octane now? is that ok?

The oil needs to be filled to the full mark on the dip stick.

The manual recommends 91+. Lots of people run 87 but I always run 87. Lots of debate on the forum about octane.

Welcome to the forum. Read some stickies, especially the NEW 850 OWNER thread.

87 octane is fine and will not hurt anything.
