Hello All,

I’ve replaced my steering rack, tie rods, control arms, cv axles, and had an alignment. I still have 1/4” play in my steering wheel. I’ve noted that the lower steering coupler 9485812 is discontinued and not easy to find.

Does anyone know who makes them or where they can be bought? Would prefer not junk yard if can find Lemforder or similar. Any thoughts?

are you sure its the universal joint? If so, you may be able to find a machine shop that specializes in drive shafts that can rebuild it.

 

Thank you for the info on Pelican Parts and for letting me know that it can be rebuilt. I called pelican and they said they don’t have one after all. I will consider sending it out to a place that rebuilds steering column or drive shafts. Gracias!
