Greetings to everyone. I just had my heater core leak all the coolant into the floorboards of my S70. Not knowing any better I put another five gallons into the resevoir trying to find out where it was all going. I did not realize it until it was too late. I now have blue - green carpets in a tan interior. I cannot find replacements at the usual places I get parts for the Volvo. Anyone know where I can get new or used (unstained) molded carpets. Any help would be great. Thanks.

 

New you could probably get them from a dealership, even if you have to order then via phone.

 

I have heard a lot of these heater core case where the coolant has leaked to the floorboard. Is there anything we can do to prevent this from happening. Can we replace the heater core or some kind of hose or some other part.

I have a 99 S80 with 133K miles and Im afraid it can happen to me so I would like to prevent it because the carpet condition in my car is very clean.
