no turn signals and no Hazards
Hi,
I have a 98 S70 GLT. Earlier today my turn signals and hazards stopped working? Also, Fuse # 13 is blown. Is it the hazard switch that needs replacing? If so, what part number is it and is a diagram available? If not the hazard switch, what else could it be? Thanks in advance, Darcy |
RE: no turn signals and no Hazards
The hazard switch is the system relay.
It might be that or something wrong with the wiring to the lights. |
RE: no turn signals and no Hazards
So, if the hazard is the system relay, would that also be the cause as to why my radio isn't working either...

RE: no turn signals and no Hazards
No the hazard switch is the turn signal relay.
That radio is seperate. Does the radio light up at all? Does it say code? (If so then you need to get the code from the Dealer) Does the radio say OFF? (If so then you need to leave the key in position I for 2-3 hours to reset the radio) Then enter the proper code for it to work. |
RE: no turn signals and no Hazards
The deck (radio) is an aftermarket. Yes, there is power to the deck because it lights up, but has no functionality.
Is there an procedure available for installing the hazard switch? Anything to consider before installing the Hazard switch? Thanks, Darcy |
RE: no turn signals and no Hazards
The hazard switch just pops out of the dash.

RE: no turn signals and no Hazards
Darcy, I have exactly the same problems with my '96 850 Turbo. Did you ever fix them? How? Thanks for the help.

RE: no turn signals and no Hazards
I had the same problem with my S80 (wipers, turn signals, high beams, parking lights and controls on the steering wheel did not work) and this is what worked for me. This might sound crazy but, I'd look at the fuses for the turn signal and the high beams and replace them with new ones even if the ones that are in there are good.
Here read this... I know it is for an S80 but this might help you out because this is where I got this crazy idea. LOL http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_wr...e_is_not_blown |
