OBII Scanners for CE light
I saw a scanner at Autozone, the same one they used to get the readings from my car. It's orange or yellow and was an Acutron I believe, not sure on the spelling; but was going for $130 + tax. Is it adequate for reading the CE codes and to clear it?
If not, what would you guys suggest for something in that price range?
Would you suggest a scanner that's more versatile but not too $$.
Thanks

check out scantool.net I got their elm scan ISO usb for $60 and link it to my laptop. It can clear codes and give live data about rpms, gas, ect about 7 pages worth of live monitoring. Plus the complete code error list. Doesnt get much better.
No, most dealer computers have VADIS(Volvo Aftermarket Diagnostics and Information System) installed on them which is much more complex. But yes any codes the dealer would pull these devices can pull as well.
ORIGINAL: NeoDavinci
So if I'm understanding you correctly, the scanner pulls the same information, but Vadis gives more information about the codes?
