Default oil pan o-ring replaced, but still ticking

the guy said an engine flush might be a good idea, ture?

There are 2 schools of thought on that.

1. It will clean all the channels, followed buy a good motor oil, proper pressure and lube will be back up into the lifters and rockers.

2.It will loosen up chunks that will block these passages. The follow up to this thought is: to run a thinner oil and change it often, Thus getting the same result as #1 over time.

Did they replace all 3 orings?
Was the pickup tube clogged at all?
What year is it?

car: 1997 S70 2.5 10V (UK)

yes all 3 rings are replaces, this is why the guy suggested an engine flush, cos the pick up tube might be semi blocked.

OK give that a shot.
The newer S70's that have the cartrige filter have 2 more o-rings than the earlier cars and many people forget to change them.
