I am wondering if you all might have some advice on how to find OEM hoses for my oil cooler. '99 S70 GLT As you know Volvo has discontinued these hoses. 9496492 & 9496493 The URO replacements go every year almost on the calendar date. I suspect they are just plain empd rubber without the resistant liner that the originals have. They dry rot and crack right at the stress point of the fitting and hose clamp. I would love to replace them with silicone but finding someone to create them is proving difficult. I had the idea of putting a kind of silicone sleave over the pipe fittings to provide some resistance to coolant breakdown but that seems kind of problematic. Is there another model that might have a hose that could work? Have you had to deal with this issue? Any ideas?
I made new hoses on a T5. Gates makes an "oil cooler hose" and I suppose I got that from NAPA. It is of course straight hose off a roll, and it can be hard to route that, but it wasn't in my case. The T5 hoses aren't shaped anyway.
