power steering reservoir tank removal
Hello all,
I am trying to replace my coolant tank(CT) , but the power steering tank(PST) is attached to it but will not come out for the life of it. The lock-lip doesn't release the tanks from each other and it seems like it's locked in because it the clip holding the PST to the CT has a stop behind it on the CT. If that makes any sense.
Thought of breaking it which would be my last resort.
Appreciate your responses.
Thanks

I just went through this exercise 2 weeks ago.
The problem is the coolant tank itself. There is a barb on the power steering resevoir that hooks it to the coolant tank and the shape of the colant tank makes it hard to get apart.
If you are replacing the tank, break the white peice off. Watch out for the coolant level sensor. I damaged it messing with it. Disconnect it from the harness first and you should be all set.
