Default power windows not working

Hey guys im new to the forum actually to the Volvo scene in general. I just picked up a 1998 S70 a couple days ago. The problem goes like this my brother was driving it around taking care of some stuff. He went to roll up the windows and he said that the master switch smoked a little when the windows rolled up. He got the windows up about half way and thats about it. He also said that the sunroof isnt working. Now the other thing is my sister accidently pressed the window switch again and it worked for second and then nothing. None of the windows work or the sunroof. Can someone please shed some light on this problem. Thanx

Master switch is bad. It might have also blown the fuse.

Thanx. Is there any other fuse box besides the two in the engine bay. And are the power windows listed by themsleve or in junction with something else.

Those are the only 2 fuse boxes.

Not sure just look under the lid and see what is listed.

First check if all the relays and fuses are okay. The motor is unlikely to be burned out or blown. You might need an allen wrench for this if you're confident enough that you can fix it yourself.
