Radio fuse blows instantly?
We had to get a jump start today. Everything came right back on like it should, except for the radio. Not the code thing - I mean no power to the radio at all. So I replaced fuses 7 and 32, thinking that may do the trick. I'm realizing now that for fuse 7, right when I insert the new fuse, it sparks a little and blows it right away. I could do it a hundred times and each time the inserted fuse would blow on contact with the port.
What is going on here?
Thanks in advance!

There must be a short somewhere. Does it happen with the car off and the key out of the ignition?
What kind of car do you have, year, model, etc.
I always try to warn people about jumping cars but no one seems to believe me.

There has to be a serious short somewhere. Strange that it would blow with the car off and key out. Does the security system still work? You can test it by lowering the window, locking the door, leaving it alone for 10 minutes, then reaching in and opening the door.
Exact same thing here. Even with the radio disconnected I get an instant blown fuse on #7 15 Amp fuse. Everything off and key out of the ignition. Well the door was open and car had run in the last 30 minutes so not totally powered down, but the ACC items were.
Any ideas from the forum?

go to volvowiringdiagrams.com and download the PDF. You should be able to trace the radio lead back to the fuse to see where there are junctions. You should be able to work with an ohm meter to see where its shorted to ground (ie between the fuse and the radio )
