S70 idiling Problems
Hey there Mates,
Im new here, and i am seeking some help for my VOLVO. I have a 1999 Volov s70 T5. I baught it in 2004. The day I baught it it had strange idiling prblems. When the car is at a halt the idel jumps up and down its goes to 1rpm lower then back up again. I have read other posts, people sugested cleaning the throttle body, or vacum hose leak. so my question is could this be the prblem. I went to a specialist he said that some part had to be cleaned but i forgot what it was so can someone bounce my memory. Also he said there is a chance its the air flow meter but i doubt that. Also would like to mention when i looked in the engine bay i could hear that the car was sucking air in, so could this be the vacum hose leak or what. It has been like this since i baught the car and have had no problems. The engine light is not on. Please help me out. Milage is 190 065KM

However you should be covered under the 10yr. 200,000 mile warranty.
ok here is the link for the video this is my car and as you see its not working normaly, btw rob where did u get thos guages for your volvo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WYCVhg0Ul0
That is the typical Dirty/bad throttle body idle.
You need to check with the Dealer and see if it is under the Recall.
It will be better if the check engine light is on and the codes lead to the throttle body.

Ok!Can someone please tell me where the Throttle body is located? also is there some precautions i need to take before removing it? I remeber taking off my old SAAB 9000 and the car went to LYMPH mode and that cost alot to fix, so before i remove it can i please have location and maybe picture of where is it ?
