s70 low coolant level popping up?
hey people, yeah i just took my 98 s70 back from the shop, after getting theair pump replaced, and a new air pump valve.. and now when i stop and go the low coolent level blinks on and stays on for a few seconds.. anyone know????
I doubt it because the Air pump is under the L/F of the car.
But maybe he hit a hose on the back of the engine.
The light is coming on because it is low on coolant.

Your heater core could be the culprit. Do you smell anything sweet coming through the vents of your car? Also the radiator could also be the culprit.
That is if your actually leaking coolant. Have both of them looked at.
I just had my radiator replaced because it was leaking coolant.

I just noticed my coolant light flashing on occasionally when starting from a stop, and I pulled out the mats in the front seats and I think it is leaking somewhere over the drivers side... either that or its moist under there and there is something green growing in the carpet down there.
so where would it be leaking from if it is leaking into the foot well?
EDIT: looked around and it DOES sound like it is probably the heater core... so for a better question any suggestions about where to procure a good heater core?

I just bought a very well kept 1998 S90. The original owner said that he replaced the radiator hose - after thinking he had a radiator problem. Has I was driving the car home the coolant warning light came on. Also the oil warning light would flash on when taking off from a stop. The car is running cool --no overheating at all. I checked the oil pump & can't see any leaking. I also can't seem to find any leaks in the coolant system. Could it be a heater core related issue as you've discussed here? Or perhaps a bad radiator after all?
