RE: S70 Tires/what kind to get
What size? I have Yokohama's on my 17" wheels (215 45 17), Kumho's on one of my cars with 15" wheels and Michelin's on the V70 with 15" wheels. So far the Kumho's seem like real good tires for the money. They only have a few thousand miles on them so far though. The Yokohama's are brand new. I like Michelin's the best, but you can not get them for even close to a reasonable price in 17". Bridgestone would probably be my other choice, but I would look into Kumho's. Just bought my first Volvo, (99 S70 AWD) and it came with pretty new Brigestone 15" all seasons. Not the best handling but quiet. Must change to 17's asap though. I would go to at least 17" for much better response and handling. Best tires I've ever had were 215/45zr 17 BFG G-force sports on my lowered Acura TL. Got them for $145 a peice and well worth it. Once warmed up they gripped even a wet road to the point of being scary. I suppose they would be even better on a Volvo! I have had and know many people with Kuhmo's and they are ****, unless you want to replace them every 10,000 miles. Wear and tracking/cornering is terribile and they bulge out way too easy when going over tracks.

I would get the Michelin MXV4 Plus, that tire is very quiet and also it came with the car as OEM tire. When we first bought out S70 we had those tires, and they looked very good on the car, and were very quiet and provided adquete performance. If you want the best tire for your car get the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S radial, they are 10x better then the MXV4 and also give you a good sporty feel. I got the Exalto tires on my Jetta, and there the best tires I have ever bought. It all depends on price though, these tires can be very expensive, so if you want a good tire the Michelins are the way to go !
However, if you want a good cheap tire for the Fuzion HRi made by Bridgestone. They are about $44US. They offerthe bestperformance for the price.
