yet another question about my "new to me" s70 T5.
what is up with the stereo? for a stock stereo it has some serious bass even without using the EQ to boost it. does the stock stereo have a sub woofer? i have read that the stock system is 8 speaker but i only know of where 4 are currently (haven't looked that hard yet). also what is this dynaudio system that i have heard about? is there a way to tell if the car has it?

I was driving down the road the other day listening at a normal volume level and playing some things with decent bass like crystal method or lady gaga but another track came on and nearly popped my head with all the bass. seriously at a normal volume level this song was rattling loose objects in my car. got me wondering what sort of beast is in this thing....

 

dynaudio would have a center speaker on the dash that says "dynaudio" i have yet to see an s70 with dynaudio (they mostly used it in the c70"

i agree that this is a great sound system. there are two speakers (tweeters) on the dash, one in each front door, one in each back door, and two in the back window. the back ones are the largest, so thats probably where the bass comes from.

 

nice, i am quite impressed with the stock speakers then.

 

Seems like at least once a week or so I get asked if I put net speakers in mine. I was incredibly surprised how good the stock sounded when I tried a bass test CD.
