I have a '98 S70. I spend a lot of time driving to the Eastern Sierra. I'd like to keep the car a few more years, but have been running into problems negotiating some dirt roads with the lower clearance of the S70. I was wondering if anyone had knowledge of a Southern California shop that might help me lift the suspension about 3" or so?

I'm looking to get something in the area of the XC70 clearance - 8.5". I figure if I can make this happen, I can keep the car another 3 years or so. Is it possible to substitute xc70 suspension parts into the S70 and get some lift that way? I'm open to all suggestions.

Thanks, but looking at the photos of the AWD version, it doesn't look like there is any increase in ground clearance. Can the XC70 suspension fit an S70?

 

There is a difference in back. I don't know if the XC70 will fit call the dealer.

 

It will all attach the same im not sure about the lift though.

If you can try to find taller springs and struts/shocks.
