Default Thinking about buying a 99 s70, but...

Possibly my new car

I've read some horror stories about maintenance cost's and ton's of things going wrong with them...

Will I be safe for about 5 years, with minimal long term investment?? Your help is greatly appreciated.

The 2 main things you will have to worry about are the throttle body and the evaperator.
The ABS modules you can get rebuilt for pretty cheap these days.

Throttle body just sit back and wait for Volvo to decide what they are going to do.

The evaperator will cost about 1200.00 to fix.

The parts Are about $360.00 or close to it. For the parts.

To replace I have posted instructions on how to do it in the S70 section. Sorry but no pics.

Class action suit does not mean that all of the cars are bad. I stress the word all. Most may have problems but there are a few good ones. Now, to the car:
1. When was the timing belt replaced? ETM?
2. Are all of the service records available?

As with most used cars, some investment is required.
