Default turn signal question

It has been a month since I got my first Volvo 99 S70 T5. I notice the turn signals works a little bit differently. In the other cars that I drove, turn signal goes off immediately when I start steering toward the opposite direction. But in my Volvo, turn signal does not go off until the steering passes the center. Is this normal?

It probably is wearing out, normal with age.

I see. It does not bother me as much as ABS problem or rocking driver seat, but if it is simple, I want to try fixing it myself. Any idea how to fix it?

I believe you just need to replace the stalk, but not 100%.
