I bought a used 2010 V70 wagon that has never had working outlets front or rear. The wiring diagram says fuse f25 controls it, but when I check the fuse box, there is no F28 fuse, and the F28 location doesn't even have contacts in it to put a fuse in.
anybody know what fuse or circuit to check? It would be a bear to trace out ......
Fuse 25 is for the 12v outlets (you have typed 28 a couple of times in your question) - But
If fuse 25 is good, there is a relay, don't know what else it powers, but here's some info. If you think it's the relay - try swapping with a same part # relay near it. Or simply test for power at the fuse.
Unless I'm reading the wiring diagram wrong, it looks like fuse 27 also controls (protects) the positive trigger to the relay coil. Might want to check that fuse as well.
Thanks both for the info.....yes, it is F25 fuse. I have attached a picture of my fuse block with F25 circled i yellow -- no fuse and no contacts for a fuse. I also did check F27 (good catch) but it was good.
So why do I have a car wired differently than all the shop manuals?

You are trying to solve a lack of power to your 12v outlets. You have asked about a 2010 v70 - but you posted in the S70 forum and posted a photo of a fuse box missing connections where they should be for a 2010. Exactly what year and model are we trying to help you with ?
2010 V70 wagon 3.2 l US model - yes I posted in the wrong forum - sorry. I also posted in the V70 forum later. The wiring diagram I am using covers both models...
Bob
That VIN comes up as a 2010 - Volvo has a wiring diagram supplement - for a 2010 - showing the 12v fuse in the same place as a 2011. Perhaps a mid year change.
V70 / XC70 P3 2010- 2011
correct location of 12v 15A fuse for cabin cigarette/ for mobile recharging.
It is under the glove box fuse box (F22), as shown in the attached picture.
the manual of V70 D3 2010-11 make is wrong by describing it is under the hood engine bay fuse box as F25.
