vovlo 70 r design
hi recently brought a volvo 70 est r design and it started and now will not work at all rocket cover changed injections taken out put back in but no go taken it to a vovlo specialist ( back street couldnt start it will someone please tell me what could be wrong with it it was going some people say fuel pump some say injections need programing please help it is a 2009 plate i brought the car for my son it is a surprise but we cant get it going
so with any no start condition you want to start with a fuel/spark diagnostic strategy. Did you scan for any stored CEL codes? What is the fuel pressure at the rail with the engine off? does it bump up with you start cranking? Did you get fuses? Do you have spark? with the coil packs you may need to find a test tool. Are the injectors activiating? you may need to visit Youtube or google around for testing for spark with coil on plug cars and for testing injectors to make sure they are getting a signal (assumes you've already tested for fuel pressure at the rail). If you are not getting any spark then look for any CEL codes that may point to a failed crank sensor etc. Not sure why you'd suspect injectors. Like coils there are five of them and they won't all fail at once so you'd want to look at something that is common to all like voltage, signal from the ECU etc
Have you checked the fuel pressure? A bad fuel pump could indeed be causing the problem.
Check the battery and voltage output. Also, verify the condition of the ignition system components such as spark plugs, ignition coils, and ignition module.
Faulty engine sensors, particularly those related to the engine's starting and fuel delivery system, can cause starting problems.
Have you checked the crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor?
Plus, I’d scan ECU for codes and to make sure it's communicating properly with other vehicle systems.
