I am brand new here, I am suffering a very weird s70 heat problem, hope you guys could give me some suggestion...

Mine is a 99 s70 base model, everything was just fine till last month. The A/C indicatior started blinking (the green one) and i lost all my heat. And i found i lost the control of the air vent (i mean the choice of the direction of air blow, head only or half head half feet or feet oly).

I was pretty sure the AC worked when i turned it on, but just no heat anymore. I am able to adjust the strength of the air blow... So weird.

You need to have the codes read so you'll know which part is bad.

 

I lost control of the vents on my 98 V70 last year and Osteen Volvo had to replace a electric damper motor for about $750. Mine has automatic climate control with dual zones. No lights blinked, just the air was stuck half out the defrost and half the dash vents.

To Dwdog, I am kind of locking the problem on damper motor too, similar situation.
Will post later once the problem fixed.

 

My dealership made it seem it was a common problem on this model.
