Still, i have a list of things to check.
Plugs, k&n air filter, suspension and alignment, fuel, seafoam cleanup, etc.
The car is not driven hard, nor my wife is a speed/throttle demon.
Overcrowded island with too many cars??.
A/C and hot weather all the time..
Any tips on what to look for better mileage?

I have been trying to figure out why, still working on it. Asking around in stop and go infernal city traffic, have been told those low figures are the norm.

I get around 18 in mixed driving everyday. T5 with an auto, and a heavy footed driver. Sad thing is my 3/4 ton diesel truck gets roughly the same mileage.
On the other hand, my mom's T5 w/ a manual, perfectly maintained per the factory recommendations, and driven like a granny (unless I borrow it), only gets around 21 in mixed driving and has since the day they picked it up at the factory in Sweden, so I think some cars are just better with the mpgs than others.

My NA 850 seems to sip fuel, compared to the t5
Im pretty sure the traffic has a lot to do with it the roads here, compared to an Interstate in the US are maybe 50 miles, tops 60 long.
Has anyone driven in Oahu or LA Its kinda like that, infernal traffic, stop and go.
Still, will try to do what I can to improve mileage.
Is it me, or did gas seemed to last longer? Maybe its the price, put $50 on the car and it will get 3/4 if you are lucky..
Insane

Its kind of scary the prices of fuel are nowdays..
I remember many years ago, in Spain that I filled my volvo 440 tank with $65.00 and I almost convulsed the first time.
Drop a twenty on the T5 and seems to go nowhere...the needle barely moves..a car that would spit gas out on the best of premiums if you put twenty bucks in there...
Those v40's are looking better and better every day..

1998 S70 T5 - This weekend, I drove from San Diego to Irvine, and I got 30 mpg for the freeway part. My mpg was about 26 after 20 or so miles of city driving and the return trip.
Sadly, my mixed driving is just 19 mpg. My drive to work is about 6 miles of lights and stop signs and some hills.
I sure wish I could get my hwy mileage in the city! With the cheapest gas at $4.11, I'm riding my electric bike to work now.
