04 S80 T6 intergrated phone? Can it be used?
I am a current ATT cell user. I can't find any info on the web at all about these phones that are in the cars. I am in the USA in case that helps. I downloaded a vovlo S80 manual on the web and it shows to insert the sim card under the phone itself in the dash. My dash phone does not have a sim card slot in the phone area?
The dealer which was not a volovo dealer said the phone is totally un usable? At the time I didn't care but now that I look at it every day and see it as a useless gaget at this point, was he right?
The manual says they are GSM phones which is what I use now.
Other findings I have read is that the sim location could be in the glove box? I didn't dig in mine but want to see if this might be the case too.
Anyone have any info on this phone or do I pretty much have equipment that I can't even take advantage of? I seen about the blue tooth kit but does that need to be profesionally installed?
Thanks for your help and suggestions!

Well I guess searching deeper I found that it might be in the crapper to get this phone to be usable unless the blue tooth kit is used. Quite frankly I know others feel this way after reading some threads. Volvo should have recalled the cars that had the phones in them, and installed the blue tooth kit! I mean there are thousands of these cars out there and the phones can't be used due to cell phone company FCC restrictions.......
To me it's like having a car with a radio that won't work at all. I know the phone isn't that important, but if safety is key in today's society and with the cell phone laws passing, you would think Volvo would team up with a manufacturer to offer existing Volvo owners a discounted blue tooth setup.
Anyone else agree?
Just curious....
