I have a 99 s80 when I depress the gas pedal it will only run to about 1800 rpm any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Do you have a cel light?

Could be a couple of things. Biggest culprits are usually the ETM which is discussed at length on this forum and the other can be a faulty ABS module which really makes the computer do funny things. Try disconnecting your battery for a few minutes ( make sure you have radio code) and reattach. Sometimes this will TEMPORARILY fix the issue if it is a faulty ABS module.

 

Mine did this, and it was a faulty Mass Air flow sensor. Easy part to repalce...about $145 USD. My advive is replace both the MAF & ETM as they are going to fail at some stage. (both very easy to do yourself). My ETM failed 80ks from home and it was a long slow trip home at 15 km/h
