We keep getting the check engine light. I have replaced the gas cap because the seal inside was cracked. It went off and now it is back on. I was told the next step is to see if the hose fell off the evap canister. Can someone tell me where the evap canister is. Also any other suggestions

 

It's located underneath close the gas tank, black square box with couple hoses attached . Check the hoses around the clamps see the the cracks, or you might need purge valve or shuttle valve.

 

and is harder then heck to get to...to get to the cannister and the 9 inch "J" hose you will need to take off the right rear tire (standing from the front looking towards the back). I have big arms so i was able to get to the hose where it comes into the cannister just barely (it had cracks), getting to the other end of the hose is darn near impossible

 

I had my car on the lift ,the canister is dead center on top of rear suspension subframe I had the code,To replace J hose you would have to drop down-tilt subframe to replace hose,I was just barely able to get my finger in there with some silicone on it,let it set an hour, cleared the code did not come back.Sold car got tired of fixing things and then something else poping up,three years was enough!
