I've been excited about owning a 2000 S80 for the past 6 months, but I'm worried after what my volvo mechanic said about that particular year model. It's supposedly very problematic and volvo stopped supporting it after 10 years. What problems are most prevalent with this year model and are there aftermarket parts that solve the problems? What upgrades are the most popular with this year model? Thanks in advance.

 

Hi There: Don't worry about things that have not happened. If your Volvo Mechanic is worried about stuff, maybe he should give you a list. Other than that feel free to ask that question in the S80 section.

The S80 is a great car and the only real issue is the ETM. As long as the ETM has been serviced and the car has been well maintained, you have nothing to worry about.
