I have a 2000 S80 T6, and I have removed the head to replace the valves. Can I time the cams without having any special tools?. Do the grooves in the rear of the cams need to be parrallel to the head? what about the variable pulley being slotted? I don't see a mark on the crank pulley that is noticeable to line up on the oil pump. But with the head off I can see when it is at top dead center on #1 cylinder. Can I use that, and mark the pulley on the crank?

Basicly with out the proper tools, you will have a very hard time getting it setup right if at all. You need proper tools and instructions.
