Hey guys, I'm having a unique problem here.

The left rear door does not lock all the time. It only locks sometimes and sometimes I have to manually lock it. But, it has no problem unlocking. It unlocks every time I try to unlock it.

Did anyone ever experience this before?

Any input is much appreciated.

I actually had the same problem on my V70, I have just checked it everytime I get out which can be kind of annoying, but I got used to it. I haven't had the problem lately though. Just before it stopped, I replaced my fuses, so maybe the door lock fuse wasn't working well, but I don't know. It might also need to be lubricated or the CCM might need to be looked at. I was also thinking it could be the switch or the wiring to it considering it is just one door.

 

power door lock actuator is the problem.. not sure if it's part of the latch or can be replaced seperately ?

 

Does anyone know the part number for the power door lock actuator? Also, if the power door lock actuator is the problem, isn't is suppose to not lock or unlock at all? My door unlocks all the time but only locks sometimes.

It could be the actuator, I don't know the part number, but, take your door panel off and look at the part to see if there's the number on it. Also check your wiring to the actuator, that might be shorting. But like I said, try replacing the fuse... I would try the easiest options first, and if they don't work, probably need to get the actuator switch out.
