I am getting ready to replace the lower ball joints on my 2000 Volvo S80. I have done a fair amount of research and have a good idea how to press the new bearings in. The problem is that there isn't much info out there regarding hoe to remove the ball joints. Is there access above the ball joint on the hub to drive it out? Or is there a way to pull it out without the special Volvo tool?

Hoping I can find someone who has actually completed this job.
