I Have 2001 S80 T6 on 70800 miles! For some reason when is on Drive and step on the gas and then if I have to stop my car will stall or almost stall! I don't get it. If I am in the middle lane and try to turn somewhere after i step on the gas and if I have to slow down right away or stop it may stall! It is doing it only on slow speeds! Any Idea guys??? I would appreciate any help!

O, yeah and it is doing it when it is warmed up or hot, not when it's cold!

 

Have the throttle body cleaned.

 

Should I go to do it at the dealer or somwhere else? Any idea on the cost? Thank you very much for the advise!

 

A Volvo specialist can clean it.
Usually people who work on and knows Volvo can do it pretty easy.
Depending on labor rate somewhere around $100.00 or so.

 

Well, I did that I even changed fresair pipe and some kind of clamps there aqnd now it is doing it again! The dealer told they have no idea why-there is not trouble codes or any check engine light on!

The gas milege is fine. I get like 19-22mpg average. I just unplugged the battery for like 2 hrs and that fixed the stalling(probably temporary) but now it feels like the car lost some power. I don't get it. I went to Volvo dealership the car stayed there 3 days they have tested it and everything and they didn't find a thing. Everything is fine they said. How is that fine?! I don't know what to do anymore, I am getting pretty despered here.
What do you mean by vacuum issues? Is it really expensive and hard to fix?

Not, not hard at all but I'm not sure how unplugging the battery temporarily fixes your issues unless something with the electronics is going on. Are there any messages or lights lit up? Has anything been done to the ECU that you are aware of?

 

Nothing wrong with teh ECM to my knowledge. Volvo Dealership got the car for 3 days driving it and not knowing wqhat is going on. It was fine this morning but just now when I was coming back from work it died to me again. No triuble codes no check engine light on-nothing to go off of. Just a mistery.
I am going to put it back in the shop on Tuesday most likely-they said they gonna try and see if they can replace the ETM-thinking that this might be the problem. I don't know anymore. I am sick and tired of this. I just want to have the car to drive me from point A to pint B with no stalling and that someone might rearend me in the middle of an intersection.
