Default 2004 s80 5 cylin 2.5 battery help

Hello

I'm glad I found this site. I'm new here. I believe I need a new battery the indicator light states low battery...any suggestions on where one would go to replace that won't cost an arm & a leg. Dealership with labor quoted $175

Suggestions would be helpful....also one last bit...I may need a new tining belt...help with this too

Thanks in advance for your help

Sure it's the battery and not the alternator failing to charge the battery?

I think diagnostics are in order before jumping right to replacing what may at first appear to be the obvious. Replacing a battery is very simple though. Disconnect negative cable, disconnect positive cable, remove old battery, install new battery, connect positive cable, connect negative cable. The battery is in the trunk under the rear cover.

For a timing belt, I'd find a local trusted European mechanic (or even a Volvo specialist) and have them replace it. It won't be cheap no matter what, but what's worst is having one snap on you.
