2005 volvo s80t alarm system service required. That is the message I'm getting. What is up with that and what do I do to fix it?

I had this same issue and the alarm module had to be replaced at the dealer. They cut through the wheel well to get to it and rivet back the shield when completed. Evidently, I remember reading, the module corrodes and needs replacement.
Mine was driving the neighbors nuts, because it kept going off, day and night, where ever and whenever it wanted.
