2005 S80 Trunk lock cylinder - replacement? key worn't go in
Hello all,
recently the trunk lock cylinder stopped accepting the key. Key can only engage part way.
I have been using the key as the remote does not open the trunk. I am not sure if it is the remote or the little black "button" on the trunk that is not working, or if it is user error.
So I a need a way to be able to enter the trunk, and not always have to have my backseats folded down (or sending my child in the ski hole to pull the (US) escape lever. Thus I have a few questions.
Can this lock cylinder be replaced?
Is it as simple as removing the two nuts holding it in from the inside?
Where can I get replacement one?
Do I need to get a new key to use the lock?

Probably the relay for the black "button". Easy to check once you get the trunk open. Just swap a relay from the fuse panel inside the trunk. If a relay swap does not work then it`s the "button"
