Default 2006 s80 awd "revival"

I've made a similar post on another forum, but figured I'd try a bit of reformating and simplification, and try somewhere maybe more active.

This will be a bit of me learning more about the car, listing current issues and adding more things as I get to drive the car more, so it might be a little ongoing.

So, me and my wife were gifted this 2006 s80 awd. It's clean inside and out, but I believe that's where "well maintained" ends. The car has just over 150k on it. When we got it, the last oil change was due July of '23, with the mileage indicating another ~1500 miles of life. The tabs on the plates expired in '21, but a registration and stickers for '23. The timing belt was replaced at a few miles shy of 104k in August of '17.

The car runs and drives fine, the usual suspension clunks, so I'm assuming the plastic caps in the struts have broken. There's also a rattling noise that sounds like it's under the center console.

First thing I do with any new car is new fluids and filters. Well, the engine oil was a fight. I was hanging, literally, my whole body of the ground, off of a 3 foot, half inch drive breaker bar on the drain plug, and it wouldn't move. Yes, I triple checked I was going the right way. Ok, well let's at least change the filter until I can get a vacuum pump. Filter was full of carbon and sludge. Clean out the filter housing, new filter and gasket and drove the car about 500 miles waiting for the pump, and I decided to get another new filter, because why not. I was half planning on just keeping the filter I put in in it because, why not it's only got a few hundred miles on it, the oil is supposed to still be good(NOT!)I didn't look at the date on the window sticker. It turned out to be a good thing. I believe the old filter was so plugged, it was just bypassing, as the new filter was just as full as there was more sediment, about a half tablespoon worth, in the filter housing.

(Pics of the filter with ~500 miles)

The vacuum pump struggled to pump the hot oil, it was like chunky black potato soup. New full synthetic with some sea foam, and new filter and o ring. I will replace the filter again in about a thousand miles and check it. The oil on the dipstick now looks pretty clean.

It's got a bad siren module I'm assuming, as I have the message for the security system and the sunroof doesn't work. That's on my to do list to replace. I know these cars aren't that hot a steal, but I'd like to keep everything factory and working.

The driver's window has an issue with the automatic up function. It will auto down fine, but on auto up, it will hit the top then go all the way back down. I've tried every variation of the window reset and it doesn't work. I'll go through the relearn, the auto down works again, not the auto up. Tried holding the switch, nothing works.

It's got bad parking sensors, but I'd like to find out what exactly is bad instead of playing a war of attrition and taking the parts shotgun approach. I know I need VIDA for that, I'm working on that too.

There's a plastic pipe that runs under a plastic cover up to by the oil cap that's broken. I'm not sure what it is

My only other current gripe with the car is it turns like a '79 F350. Turning in parking lots is somewhat difficult, and the lacquered wood steering wheel doesn't help, and the turning radius is listed in statue miles. I get it's a full sized all wheel drive sedan, but dang
